Alderley Edge Parish Council along with Churches Together in Alderley are collaborating with local schools to encourage creativity with our environmentally themed poster design competition.
The Eco-Poster Design Competition is aimed at 4-7 year old’s to encourage environmental & sustainability awareness and how we can play our part to lessen the negative impacts.
The idea is to design a poster around the environmental 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
The posters will be displayed at Alderley Edge Library between 22nd October and 3rd November where residents can vote for their favourite design.
The posters will be featured on the village litter bins to remind everyone to consider making a positive impact on the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling as much as possible.
Ali Bates, Chair of Alderley Edge Parish Council, said:
“It has been our pleasure to work with the local schools who have enthusiastically responded to the Eco-Poster Design competition and encouraged their students to become involved.
If you live locally and your child does not attend a local school, you can pick up a Eco-Poster Design Template from Alderley Edge Library or Alderley Edge Festival Hall and also enter the competition.
We look forward to seeing all the completed Eco-Poster designs and the environmental messages from the children.”
