Cheshire East Council is offering fully funded Home Upgrade Grants for eligible homeowners who do not use mains gas for heating (also available to private rental tenants but a contribution is required by the landlord). To be eligible you will need to have an annual household income of £36,000 (gross) or less, or be in receipt of a qualifying benefit, and have a property Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of Band D, E, F or G. A variety of energy efficiency improvements are available including loft and wall insulation, heating upgrades and solar panels.
